This is a place to luxuriate in your sensual self and nourish yourself inside and out. We explore embodied movement that helps you find a delectable connection between your mind and body.

We want to help you embrace what makes your dance magical, whether that is finding your power, leaning into your luscious sensuality, exploring your mouth-watering sexuality, or basking in your creativity through experimental movement! We believe the best dancing comes out when you are connected with yourself.

Emphasizing indulgent movement on the pole, floor, and wall, we want to help you grow by giving you strong movement foundations and helping you sink deeper into your dance. We love freestyle here and want to help you love it too, if you don’t already!

  • Savor is here to embrace you and help you embrace yourself. We love to wildly celebrate each other along this journey, it’s part of what makes this community special.  There is something amazing about showing up, no matter what is happening in your life, and having a wonderfully talented group of people show you how magnificent you really are. You may notice that we are a delightfully rowdy bunch, prepare to have a room of people cheering for you as you discover what makes you feel incredible!

  • Savor is committed to being a studio that honors you, and ensures that your time here helps you feel valuable and supported. Savor is owned by Eve, a queer, Hispanic, former sex worker. We know the pole dancing industry has been whorephobic, racist, homophobic, transphobic, cissexist, ableist, sizeist, and ageist. We welcome all gender identities and believe it is essential to support sex workers, BIPOC dancers, plus-sized, disabled, and our LGBTQ+ community here.  This means inclusivity and breaking down barriers into the pole world isn’t just something cute we talk about for our website, it is at the core of what Savor does. We believe in actions more than words but we want to be clear about our values. Read about our anti-discrimination policy below this section.

We know that inclusivity is an ever-evolving topic, and in order to ensure our community supports every individual who walks through our doors, we have to seek continuous education and growth to make sure our space and community makes you feel seen, celebrated, and safe. We want you to find support built into our curriculum, in the workshops we offer, the behavior of those around you (in public and private), and in the willingness we have to keep improving and updating our space and offerings regularly. Your voice matters here, and our community is beautiful and powerful because of all of our unique identities.  We want to collectively revel in our mutual love of dance while elevating anyone who has been underserved, underrepresented, or felt unsafe in the pole community.

We offer unique class offerings to support people in communities that have been undervalued in pole. We have a Lucious Fat Flow drop in, Succulent Stripper curriculum including workshops to help navigate life in and out of the club, Twerk classes, Indulgent over 40 flow classes, and more! We prioritize having people from within these communities teach these classes, and include education. We offer specialty workshops to support those within these communities regularly. We believe in not just acknowledging the origins of Pole being from Stippers, we celebrate it! We love collaborating with Stripper’s are Worker’s in WA and supporting their activism. We prioritize spending our money with businesses owned by sex workers, BIPOC, Asian, LGBTQ+ folks, and women or non-binary individuals. Participating in dismantling barriers and fostering economic empowerment for historically marginalized communities is essential. We hope to ignite a ripple effect that extends far beyond just a financial transaction. We support the dreams, aspirations, and tenacity of individuals who have overcome formidable obstacles to bring their visions to fruition.

  • How we define consent:

We believe consent is sexy and essential! Consent is an ongoing negotiation between individuals helping them determine what each person is comfortable with or willing to do and what they are not. We know that enthusiastic consent is a buzzword right now, and while we appreciate the intention, we actually believe this makes it hard for people who are neurodiverse, have social anxiety, or trauma histories, or people who are just SUPER chill. At Savor Studio we ask you to engage in authentic consent- this means truly reflecting on your needs in this space as you navigate sharing movement in a community, and sharing those needs and wants clearly with those around you. Others cannot respect your needs if they don’t know what they are. We need to meet each other in the middle as much as possible.

Consent is a two way street, so we also ask that you engage in receptive consent. This means honoring what those around you are asking for, even when you don’t understand it, and even if it brings up feelings for you. You are welcome to talk through things that come up around consent together in a respectful way if it helps you better understand how to honor someone’s needs.

Consent is an evolving negotiation, we ask that you please do not give blanket consent such as “you can do whatever you want” or “you always have my permission to _______”. Our needs and wants will change all the time, and making it a point to share what we need at this moment is important. So even if you have received consent previously, we ask that you please check in.

What does consent look like: Check in with each other before engaging in any touching, especially if you choose to dance together. We also ask that you check in before having conversations around difficult or activation topics. Someone may not want to hear something and that’s ok! We also love to teach one another how we like to be praised when we dance.

Interacting with fellow dancers as your audience: Please ask for a show of hands of people who ARE comfortable with you touching them, then please let them know what you may do.

For partner dancing: Ask permission, define with one another what you’re comfortable with and what you’re not. Let the negotiation be ongoing, you may start dancing together and your wants and needs may change, please communicate with one another as new things arise.

How do you like to be witnessed during your dances: You will be asked this before you dance and we encourage you to teach us how to best hold space for you! Silence is an option as well.

    Important things to cover

Connecting with each other verbally: How do you like to communicate yes and no to me? Some people like to say yes or no explicitly, for others there may be body language cues they like to use such as avoiding eye contact, turning away, crossing their arms. Please let one another know.

Connecting with each other physically: Do you like explicit check-ins before anything is done or are you comfortable with defining what we are doing up front? Types of touch you’re ok with? Intensity of touch you’re comfortable with? Parts of your body you are comfortable being touched and what is off limits? Feelings about removing clothing, yours or theirs while in connection with one another? Are you comfortable with direct eye contact?

    Studio expectations:

We take consent violations seriously here. We also understand that mistakes happen and miscommunications can happen. We are here to support you in learning how to best show up in this community, if you’re unsure about something please ask. This is going to be an ever-evolving topic and exploration as a community. We are here to support you if you feel like you’ve experienced consent violations, please let your instructor know, the Studio Operations Manager, or Eve the owner, you are welcome to contact admin@savorstudioseattle.com
